Two LBK researchers again among the world's top 2% most influential scientists

Researchers from the Laboratory of Biocybernetics are again included in the latest Stanford/Elsevier ranking of the world's top 2% most influential researchers, published on 7 October 2026:

• Prof. Damijan Miklavčič
• Prof. Tadej Kotnik

Both appear on the two separate rankings: research impact based on citations in the 2025 calendar year, and impact across the entire scientific career (through the end of 2025).

Unlike the h-index alone, the Stanford/Elsevier methodology incorporates citation counts, co-authorship patterns, and researcher roles in publications, enabling more balanced cross-disciplinary comparisons.
