90th Anniversary of the Birth of Academician Lojze Vodovnik
On the 90th anniversary of the birth of Academician Prof. Dr. Lojze Vodovnik (1933–2000), founder of the Laboratory of Biocybernetics, three events took place:
Exhibition opening (11:00, SAZU)
Exhibition From the Archive of Academician Lojze Vodovnik at the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. A lecture by Prof. J. Thomas Mortimer on how "Lojze Vodovnik's Seed of an Idea" grew into a global initiative.
International symposium (14:00–17:15, UL FE)
Symposium The Legacy of Lojze Vodovnik, organized by multiple institutions and international societies. It included a screening of the 1982 film Man Triumphs (Človek zmaguje) and expert presentations.
Monument unveiling (18:30, in front of UL FE)
A sculpture of Academician Vodovnik, created by sculptor Prof. Mirko Bratuša, was unveiled in front of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
